Greater Nevada Credit Union Recognizes Carson City School Employees Making a Difference
As part of their Carson CARES Campaign, Greater Nevada Credit Union (GNCU) recognized Carson City School District employees who exemplified positivity in school and made a difference in their school community this past year. Five grand prizes were awarded where winners received a $500 donation for their classroom or program as well as a $100 gift certificate or gift card to their favorite local restaurant.
Additionally, out of all the nominees, one individual was selected in a random drawing to win a hosted pizza party for their classroom or team, valued up to $400.
More than 115 nominations were submitted. Winners include the following:
- Carson High School Early Childhood Teacher Kendra Tuttle
- Student Support Services Adaptive Physical Education Teacher Kimberly Shepherd
- Eagle Valley Middle School Seventh and Eighth Grade Science Teacher Tara Rispin
- Fritsch Elementary School Social Worker and Safe School Professional Nicole Sitton
- Fremont Elementary School CLS and Special Education Teacher Ryan Mick
Stephanie Walker at Pioneer Academy was also awarded a lunch party worth $400 for her school.
School employees were able to nominate multiple peers. Carson City School District and the Carson City School District Foundation are passionate about creating a foundation in which students can explore, question, succeed and develop in a meaningful and diverse way. GNCU’s passion for “Helping More People Live Greater” drives everything they do. Through GNCU’s Carson Cares campaign, they are helping Carson City School District employees achieve a stronger foundation of financial wellness for greater opportunities with access to tailored benefits.
