Media Advisory (Aug. 17, 2017)

WHAT:
Elementary students in Carson City will all have the opportunity to view the solar eclipse on their first day of school Monday, Aug. 21. The Carson City School District purchased viewing glasses for all elementary students to safely see and experience this natural and scientific wonder of our solar system.

Photographers are invited to join the experience with one of the classrooms at Al Seeliger Elementary School. Students and educators will be available for comment. 

 

Additionally, reporters and photographers are welcome to talk to students and administrators about the first day of school.
