Principal's Message

Dear Empire Elementary Families,

As we approach the mandated testing period, I wanted to take a moment to remind you of the importance of rest and encouragement for our students.

Testing can sometimes bring about feelings of stress and anxiety in our children, and it's essential that we, as parents, provide them with the support they need during this time. Encouragement and positive reinforcement can make a significant difference in how our students approach these assessments.

Encourage your child to do their best, but also remind them that their worth is not determined solely by their test scores. Let them know that you are proud of their efforts and accomplishments, regardless of the outcome of any single test.

Additionally, ensure that your child gets plenty of rest in the days leading up to the tests. A well-rested mind is better equipped to focus and perform to the best of its ability. Encourage healthy habits such as regular exercise, nutritious meals, and adequate sleep to support your child's overall well-being during this time.

Finally, maintain open lines of communication with your child's teachers and school administrators. If you have any concerns or questions about the testing process, don't hesitate to reach out for clarification and support.

Together, we can create a positive and supportive environment for our students as they navigate the challenges of mandated testing. Thank you for your continued partnership in your child's education.

Warm Regards,

Principal Tuttle
